Happy New Year! Its 2010! Can't believe we have gone through another year ... 10 years ago we were ringing in the year of 2000, wondering all about this Y2K "stuff". I remember the night, we were at our house in the Tuscany neighborhood with our friends the Hope's over to celebrate. Dinner, fun, hanging out and then standing in front of the tv counting down as the big ball dropped wondering if at midnight everything would crash, tv off, computer off, lights off, etc... But no, nothing happened :) What a fun night! As I think about the next 10 years to come I will be 36 years old, Jason and I will have been married for almost 13 years, our soon to be child will be almost 10 years old (and hopefully that means we have another child at this point as well)...its amazing at what all will happen in 10 years and I hope God has some amazing stuff planned for the Stelly family!
I'm 16 weeks pregnant today... finally feeling fabulous and not so "yucky"... we find out in two weeks (Feb 3rd) if Baby Stelly is a boy or a girl. I can't wait to find out so I can start planning the nursery, deciding on names and preparing for our sweet baby. We went crib shopping over the weekend, so fun and so surreal that I am finally doing this after all the thoughts of having "kids one day"...well that day is here!
Our Christmas Holiday was awesome. Having all our family (on my Mom's side) over for Christmas Eve was a BLAST! We are growing and growing...it was Kate's first Christmas and she had a ball, next year there will be another little one. We had a special moment on Christmas Eve where the entire family gathered around to share what has gone on in the past year and share what their prayer request would be for 2010. We wrote everything down and sent out to everyone later and have all committed to praying for one another this year. On Christmas Eve in 2010 we will see what God has done. As my Dad said, it may sound cliche but a Family that Prays together, Stays together...and we are believing that for this year!
On Christmas Day we were at my parents house in the morning opening gifts and then as a Watson Family Tradition, WAFFLES for breakfast :) This year we made Waffilicious's (thanks to the wonderful recipe from House Blend Cafe). After hanging out in a our PJ's all day and watching movies, napping and eating leftovers from the night before...Jason and I headed to his parents house for a yummy Christmas Dinner!
So now... we move on with a new year. Which is FULL of excitement and I can't wait. I have baby showers, wedding showers, babies arriving, weddings to attend, and my baby shower and arrival of baby Stelly...there will not be a dull moment!
Well Happy New Year to everyone! I pray that 2010 is WONDERFUL!
