He's ONE!

On June 26th…  my boy, my baby boy, celebrated a WHOLE year!  I can’t believe that a year ago he was a little 7 pound 8 oz bundle in my arms and now he is a 25 pound little BOY.  He is so special, he made Jason and I a “Daddy and Mommy” and has changed our lives forever.  We are blessed that God allowed us to be his parents.  It’s so amazing how your heart fills with joy as they reach milestones in their little lives.  It’s the little things… like sitting up, starting to crawl, eating baby food, pulling themselves up on the side of the couch, standing up and taking their first steps.  Those first steps are symbolic in a way of stepping into the next year of their life.

Oh I pray every night for him… I pray for God to protect him, I pray for his future, that he is a good boy and a good man.  That he will do AMAZING things in this world, that he will be smart, funny, a leader, a person who changes those around him in his daily life, for Christ.  He has so many possibilities and I want to make sure I give him the tools to always do what he dreams.  I never want to hold him back from anything.  I love watching his personality develop; he makes us laugh all the time.  I miss that little 7lb 8oz baby, but I so enjoy watching him grow and grow every day… I can’t wait to see how he is at 2, 3, 4, etc… And I know those days will come all too soon.  But for now, I will just enjoy this moment celebrating his life.  Birthday’s are more than parties and cake, they are a celebration… a celebration of the life God gave us.  It’s not our own, it’s HIS and why not celebrate?!?!  SO bring on the parties, the cake, the food, the games, etc…  I love having a reason to get all my family and friends in one place.  To live life.  Hears to Aiden’s life!  My little boy… my joy.
A year ago... wow!  He was so perfect.

I'm ONE!!!  More birthday party pictures to come...

His birthday morning breakfast... strawberries and yogurt.  He is too into his food to even look at Mommy.

Went to church & then hung out just the three of us playing with his birthday toys...

LOVES his Dog Book from Uncle T

He is walking... Not completely confident yet, but getting there.

Melt my heart.  He has been doing this lately, not sure exactly why...but so sweet none-the-less

I wanted to take the time to stop at the time Aiden was born on 6.26.10 and remember that feeling of holding him for the first time....   So before bedtime, right around 7:41pm (the time he was born), I got to snuggle my boy like I did the night he was born...
Me and Aiden... That first night.  6.26.10

Me and my ONE year old.  6.26.11

So blessed and thankful God let me be his Mommy.  Happy Birthday Aiden!
